Welcomes You To Some Of The Best Flying Acreage In Texas!
Our Club has been in existance for almost 40 years in the Houston area.
We Plan To Be Here 'Till The Cows Come Home ! 
The prime features of Read Memorial Flying Field
  • One thousand (1,000) foot North South grass runway.
  • Eight hundred (800) foot East West grass runway.
  • Six hundred (600) x fifty (50) foot waterway for float planes.
  • We dug and maintain the float-pond ourselves.
  • A three (3) section covered pit area on concrete pads.
  • Ample parking areas for everyone.
  • Gasoline generator for electrical power and running water.
  • Member built and maintained 'frequency control' board.
  • Very nice 'cook-shack' area with a HUGE barbeque pit.
  • A very effective and fine-tuned 'new pilot' training program.
  • Many more amenities too numerous to list here.
